Antonio Brown doesn't start for Patriots, but makes first catch on second play
Antonio Brown wasn’t on the field for the New England Patriots’ first offensive snap of the day ... but he was there for the second. And quarterback Tom Brady wasted no time targeting his teammate and feeding him the ball.
Brown’s first catch for the Patriots was an 18-yard reception up the middle. And then on the fourth play of the possession, Brady tossed it to Brown again for a 10-yard catch.

Were the two of them done? They were not. On the sixth play, Brady and Brown connected for a third time and Brown got his third catch, this time for eight yards.

The Patriots scored shortly after AB’s third catch, though it wasn’t Brown who had the ball in the end zone. And it wasn’t long until the QB and receiver connected for Brown’s first-ever Patriots touchdown. With under two minutes left in the second quarter, Brown caught a 20-yard pass from Brady, and then jumped into an end zone spectator box.

Brown is the 72nd different receiver Brady has thrown to in his career, which is an NFL record and elevates him above Vinny Testaverde on the all-time list.
