Angel Reese officially broke the WNBA rookie records for double-doubles *and* rebounds in a season
Chicago Sky rookie forward Angel Reese has officially earned her place in WNBA history.
With her 23rd double-double performance on Friday night against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever, Reese officially passed WNBA legend Tina Charles with the most double-doubles for a rookie in a single season.
She also passed Charles for the record of rebounds in a single season for a WNBA rookie with 399 during the game, making this an absolutely historic night for the LSU alumnus.
While the Sky didn't get the victory over the visiting Fever, Reese's remarkable, record-breaking game just underscores what a stellar season she's having with Chicago.
She and Clark have both taken the league by storm, making themselves both key pillars for the league's future. Reese's double-double and rebound records are just such impressive achievements as she helps give the Sky a very bright future ahead.
