Angel Reese fouls out of LSU women's basketball vs. South Carolina with four minutes left

Angel Reese chased down Raven Johnson in transition.

LSU women's basketball point guard Hailey Van Lith turned the ball over on the inbound pass and Johnson flew down the court. Reese attempted to block Johnson's layup from behind but caught her arm instead and was called for the foul.

It was her fifth of Thursday's blockbuster SEC game between South Carolina and LSU, and it sent the Tigers' star forward to the bench for the rest of the game with four minutes left. Reese committed her fourth foul early in the fourth quarter when she grabbed Kamilla Cardoso's jersey and dragged her to the ground when the two were boxing out for a rebound.

Johnson went to the line and sunk both free throws to tie the game at 67. The No. 1 Gamecocks went on to win the 76-70 at Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge to stay undefeated.

Reese had 15 points on 7-for-15 shooting, eight rebounds, four assists, two blocks and a steal in 29 minutes against South Carolina. She picked up two of her fouls in the first half and the third near the end of the third quarter.

She was key in keeping LSU in the lead in the second quarter, scoring eight points on layups in the first few minutes.
