Andy Behrens reaches in draft for double Ohtani
Andy Behrens explains why he couldn't help himself from reaching a bit to end up with both Shohei Ohtanis on his team.

- And Andy, I'm looking at your team here. You started off with Juan Soto, then went Shohei the batter. Randy Arozarena. So three hitters off the top. And then you got Shohei the pitcher, too. So you combined them into one man.
- I sort of took Shohei the pitcher out of sequence, right? I just became so delighted with the idea of getting both Ohtanis. Which has almost never happened for me.
- That is [INAUDIBLE].
- I think I might have leapfrogged Verlander. I'm not sure who else was still on the board, maybe Woodruff. It was not the chalky pick. But I didn't think I was going to get him on the way back. And I'll tell you another thing about the way that this league is set up, and it is the way that most Yahoo leagues are set up. It is the Yahoo default. There's an innings max that is pretty easy to reach. It's like 1,400 innings. So you don't really have to think about getting guys who are going to go 200, who are going to go 210.
- Right.
- You just need strikeout rate. That's basically the way the Yahoo game tends to play. So the worry that you would normally have with Ohtani, maybe he only goes 140, 150 innings, that's not really that's not really present in this league.
- Yeah, the double Ohtani is super fun. You don't have to make that choice. You could technically have hitter and pitcher Ohtani active on the same night, which is pretty awesome. But--
- Which feels unfair, right?
- Imagine midway through the year, Andy, you have to trade one of them. Oh, how devastating is that for Shohei?
- Sophie's choice, yes.
- I would almost never do this. Like, it's really common for me to go 10 rounds without taking a pitcher. In fact, I thought I would-- initially I thought I would probably-- we'd probably come to my block, where I'm talking to you guys, and I wouldn't have a pitcher on the roster yet and I'd have to start snagging him. We didn't quite get there. But I was just-- again, I was too tempted by the idea of taking both Ohtanis.
