American Christian Academy's Davis Dare with two 29-point games to lead top performers

Here are the Tuscaloosa area high school basketball top performers from the week of Jan 15-19.

Boys basketball

American Christian Academy's Davis Dare put up 29 points, including five 3-pointers, along with three assists in a 73-58 win over Sipsey Valley.

American Christian Academy's Davis Dare scored 29 points and tallied four assists in a 57-24 win over Holy Spirit.

Hillcrest's Osa Alohan scored a team-high 15 points in a 55-43 loss to Paul W. Bryant. DJ Hamlett added 13 points and PJ Jones added nine.

Holy Spirit's Joseph Jones led the team with 24 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and five blocks in a 76-66 loss to Northside. Ethan Ryan added 11 points and two rebounds.

Paul W. Bryant's Rafe Merriweather scored a team-high 19 points in a 55-43 win over Hillcrest. Adrian Wooley added in 18 points of his own along with Marchello Perkins, who added seven.

Tuscaloosa Academy's Danilo Stojakovic led the team with 22 points and 10 rebounds in a 46-45 win over Aliceville, while William Mullin added 10 points.

Tuscaloosa Academy's Danilo Stojakovic put up 31 points and 10 rebounds in a 53-49 win over Bibb County. Ellis Hamiter and William Mullin each scored 10 points.

Girls basketball

Hillcrest's Bri Turner had a double-double in a 64-31 win over Paul W. Bryant, scoring 12 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Farrah Buckner added 11 points of her own.

Holy Spirit's Berkley Young put up nine points, five rebounds and three steals in a 57-36 loss to Northside.

Paul W. Bryant's Adrienne Hunt scored a team-high 12 points in a 64-31 loss to Hillcrest, while Faith Bonner added in eight points of her own.
