Aliyah Nye and Sarah Ashlee Barker lead Alabama women's basketball past SFA on Saturday
Alabama women's basketball picked up its ninth win of the season, 74-69, against Stephen F. Austin on Saturday.
The Crimson Tide (9-2) are now 6-0 at home on the season with the victory against the Ladyjacks (6-3) despite scoring their second fewest points at home on the season at 74.
Sarah Ashlee Barker, Aliyah Nye and Jessica Timmons led the way in scoring for Alabama with 22 for Nye, 21 for Barker and 11 for Timmons.

Aliyah Nye has a career day from three
After just a 1-for-4 start from 3-point range in the first half, Aliyah Nye began the second half knocking down three straight while showing continued confidence in her shot. Nye finished the second half shooting 6 of 8 from 3 and tied her career best seventh 3-pointer of the game.
"I just told myself to keep on shooting; I know that I'm a good shooter, so my goal was to just keep that mentality the whole game," Nye said.
Nye currently ranks second in the entire SEC in 3-point percentage at 41% and ended the game shooting 58.3% from beyond the arc.
Struggles from the bench
Alabama's bench was outscored by SFA's bench in the first half 11-0, with this being the first time the Crimson Tide bench was held scoreless in the first half.
The Crimson Tide bench combined for a total of 22 minutes and got outscored 24-4 by SFA in bench points for the game.
Barker continues her stellar offensive season
Senior guard Sarah Ashlee Barker has proven to be one of Alabama's top options on the season so far with another efficient offensive showing on Saturday.
Barker led the team in points, rebounds and assists against the Ladyjacks with 21 points, seven rebounds and eight assists.
This was her third 20-point game of the season and the first since USF on Nov. 16.
