Alex Morgan apologizes for incident at Disney World bar
U.S. women’s national team striker Alex Morgan apologized Wednesday for a Sunday incident that saw her escorted out of a Disney World bar.
Morgan, who plays for the Orlando Pride of the NWSL, was out partying with a group of friends that also included MLS players from Orlando City SC. “Things got rowdy,” according to TMZ Sports, and according to an Orange County Sheriff’s Office incident report, several members of the group were “impaired and verbally aggressive.”
Four of those members, including Morgan and Orlando City players Giles Barnes and Donny Toia, were escorted out.
Morgan issued a brief apology Wednesday morning on Twitter:
I want to apologize for my actions that occurred over the weekend. I will learn from this make sure it does not happen again. #liveandlearn

The incident report alleges that Morgan yelled something about knowing the Orlando SWAT team.

Barnes cut in front of another guest inside the U.K. pub and they later got into a verbal argument, the report says. He used curse words and was escorted out of the pub to be trespassed. As he was being taken out, the deputies were called back to help with other individuals.
“As we passed Spaceship Earth, I observed several people being escorted to the front,” a deputy wrote. “They were all being very loud and belligerent toward staff around guests.
“I observed a white female, who was later identified as Alexandria Morgan yelling, screaming and taken (sic) video and possibly pictures. She appeared to be highly impaired.”

The deputy described the three as “being belligerent, with screaming and yelling,” according to the incident report.
Morgan’s husband, Servando Carrasco, also plays for Orlando City, and was one of at least eight MLS players featured in a group photo posted to Morgan’s Instagram account earlier in the day:

No charges were filed as a result of the incident. Per the Sentinel, Orlando Pride head coach Tom Sermanni said he expects Morgan to play on Saturday in the team’s NWSL semifinal match in Portland.
