Alex Morgan and husband are expecting a baby girl
The USWNT family is getting bigger — and so is the LA Galaxy family.
USWNT star Alex Morgan and her husband, LA Galaxy player Servando Carrasco, announced on Wednesday that they’re expecting a baby girl in 2020. Morgan and Carrasco used social media to let the world know about their impending arrival, posting pictures of themselves on the beach with their two dogs (and their dogs’ adorable neckerchiefs).
We are already in love and we haven’t even met her yet. Newest member of the Carrasco family, coming soon. pic.twitter.com/xeJPuDQgiS

With the due date being April 2020, it’s extremely possible that Baby Girl Morgan-Carrasco is a World Cup celebration baby. (And with the USWNT’s win being such a celebratory landmark, who could blame them?) Carrasco and Morgan met while playing soccer in college, and have been married since 2014.
That April 2020 due date also means that Morgan, 30, will likely miss at least part of the next season for the Orlando Pride, her National Women’s Soccer League team. She could return during the summer, which means she would still have a chance to compete with her USWNT teammates at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, which take place three months after the baby is due.
