Alabama scoring in bunches in first half

Alabama had all nine of its players score two or more points in the first half for the first time all season. The team was spreading the ball around very nicely in the first half getting everyone involved.

The Crimson Tide also shot a very efficient 40% from the field in the first half along with a remarkable 42% from three-point range in the first half.

Nye continues stellar shooting

Aliyah Nye continued her superb season from the three-point line, knocking down three of her five attempts in the first half finishing with a team-leading nine points after two quarters.

Nye ranks second in the SEC in three-point percentage and has made 11 of her last 15 three point shots.

She finished the game with 11 points shooting 42.8% from three point range.

Meg Newman provides a spark

Meg Newman provided a spark off the bench for Alabama in Sunday's victory and played a season high 24 minutes.

Newman recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds, but was also very active defensively, tipping numerous passes and recording seven defensive rebounds.

Newman knew she had an opportunity for a high rebound game.

"I saw their scouting report and saw that they got out-rebounded almost every game so I knew I had an opportunity to get on the glass. That's my role on this team and I'm just trying to continue to fulfill that," Newman said.
