Alabama football's Elijah Pritchett, not Kadyn Proctor, starts at LT in season opener vs WKU

Kadyn Proctor did not start Alabama football's season-opening game on Saturday vs. Western Kentucky. Instead, in Proctor's place at left tackle on the Crimson Tide offensive line is Elijah Pritchett.

Proctor was seen during warmups but left with trainers heading toward the tunnel prior to kickoff. Miles McVay is listed as Proctor's backup on the Crimson Tide's depth chart, while Pritchett was listed at right tackle with Wilkin Formby. Pritchett, however, got the nod to start at left tackle over McVay.

Formby started at right tackle.

Through fall camp, Pritchett has been battling with Formby at the right tackle position, a battle that is well expected to continue through the season.
