Alabama football just outside Top 10 in new US LBM Coaches Poll after Saturday upsets

The Alabama Crimson Tide moved up three spots to No. 11 in the new US LBM Coaches Poll rankings, released Sunday after Week 10's action. While the Crimson Tide (6-2) had a bye week, three teams ranked ahead of Kalen DeBoer's team suffered a loss on Saturday.

The Crimson Tide jumped ahead of the Clemson Tigers, Iowa State Cyclones and Texas A&M Aggies in this week's poll. Alabama is ranked one spot below the Indiana Hoosiers (9-0) at No. 10. The Tide are also the highest-ranked two-loss team.

The LSU Tigers, Alabama's next opponent, also rose three spots (to No. 13). The Tide and Tigers will face off next Saturday in Baton Rouge. Kickoff will be at 6:30 p.m. The game can be seen on ABC.

The Oregon Ducks (9-0) remained No. 1 for the third consecutive week after their 38-17 win over the Michigan Wolverines, with the Georgia Bulldogs (7-1) at No. 2 following their 34-20 rivalry win over the Florida Gators in Jacksonville.

The Ohio State Buckeyes (7-1) moved up one spot to No. 3 after handing the Penn State Nittany Lions (7-1) their first loss of 2024, 20-13 in Happy Valley. Penn State dropped four spots to No. 7.

The Miami Hurricanes (9-0) rose one spot to No. 4 in the coaches poll. The Texas Longhorns (7-1) climbed one spot to No. 5.

Also in the SEC, the Tennessee Volunteers (7-1) rose one spot to No. 6. Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels (7-2) had the biggest jump of any ranked team, climbing six spots to land at No. 12 following their impressive 63-31 win over the Arkansas Razorbacks.
