Alabama DB Tony Brown appears to make contact with Auburn fan on field after Iron Bowl (Video)
It appears there was a bit of an incident between Alabama defensive back Tony Brown and an Auburn fan after the Tigers win over the Tide in the Iron Bowl on Saturday.

As the final seconds ticked off the clock, Auburn fans stormed the field and video published by a few different outlets shows Brown apparently making contact with a fan.

The above video is a small portion of a longer post-game video posted by AuburnSports.com, a Rivals.com affiliate. In the full version below (warning: some explicit language), you can see Brown going up to the fan, who seems to have said something to Brown, around the 1:00 mark. There appears to be a shove.
We slowed it down and Brown does appear to give the fan a bit of a shove before being pulled away by a Bama staffer. It’s hard to see for sure.
Brown can also be seen in the background of another video, posted by Al.com. Watch Brown, No. 2, come into the picture around the 37-second mark and walk into the background. It’s hard to see if there is a shove, but you can see Brown being restrained by a teammate and the Bama staffer. Brown then walks back toward the camera.
Per Al.com, Alabama coach Nick Saban released the following statement:
“We are aware of the situation involving Tony Brown and we are in the process of gathering more information.”
Auburn was fined $250,000 by the SEC because the fans stormed the field. The fine was that large because Auburn has now violated the conference’s “access to competition area policy” three times. Auburn has previously been fined following a men’s basketball game against Kentucky in 2016 and after the Kick Six win over Alabama in 2013.
The policy says “access to competition areas shall be limited to participating student-athletes, coaches, officials, support personnel and properly-credentialed individuals at all times.”
“For the safety of participants and spectators alike, at no time before, during or after a contest shall spectators be permitted to enter the competition area,” the SEC policy says. “It is the responsibility of each member institution to implement procedures to ensure compliance with this policy.”
