AHSAA baseball round-up: Tuscaloosa area round two playoff scores, round three pairings
The second week of the AHSAA high school baseball playoffs wrapped up last weekend with quarterfinals set to begin this weekend.
There were 14 Tuscaloosa area teams competing in the first round of playoffs, now six remain in the hunt for a state title in their respective classifications. Here is a round-up of scores from second round match-ups in the Tuscaloosa area:
Class 1A
South Lamar sweeps Elba
Game 1: South Lamar 15-3
Game 2: South Lamar 7-4

University Charter School falls to Brantley
Game 1: Brantley 9-4
Game 2: Brantley 6-3
Class 3A
Gordo gives up one run vs. Susan Moore
Game 1: Gordo 24-1

Fayette County sweeps Piedmont
