Aaron Rodgers carted off field, Jets fear he has season-ending torn Achilles injury
Aaron Rodgers entered MetLife Stadium to a thunderous ovation. A few minutes later, MetLife Stadium fell silent.
The New York Jets star acquisition was injured on his first possession of the season against the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football.
New York fears Rodgers has a season-ending Achilles injury. He is expected to have an MRI on Tuesday.
"Concerned with his Achilles. MRI is probably going to confirm with what we think is already going to happen so prayers tonight, but it's not good," Saleh said after the Jets' 22-16 overtime win. "Personally I don't hurt for me, I don't hurt for our locker room. I hurt for Aaron and how much he's invested in all of this.
"I'm still going to say a prayer. I'm still going to hold out hope, but my heart is with Aaron right now and nowhere else."

Rodgers was sacked by Bills linebacker Leonard Floyd on the Jets' third play from scrimmage. He tried to spin away from Floyd but was wrapped up by his waist and taken to the ground. Rodgers got to his feet, put his hands on his hips and shook his head as his teammates began to gather for a huddle. Then he took a seat on the ground, put his elbows on his knees and waited for medical staff to arrive on the field. Rodgers walked off the field with his arms around two trainers.
