Aaron Rodgers on Bryce Young: Carolina is in good hands
Bryce Young didn’t need to shine during Wednesday’s joint practice between the Carolina Panthers and New York Jets to impress Aaron Rodgers. But he did anyway.
The four-time Most Valuable Player and Super Bowl-winning quarterback took some questions following this morning’s outing in Spartanburg. When asked about the rookie on the other end of the field, he had nothing but praise.
“I like the kid a lot,” Rodgers told reporters. “We share an agent. So I’ve known him for a long time. I love watching him in college. I like his demeanor, I like his movement, I like the way he throws.
“I trust a guy like Adam [Thielen]. Him and I have been buddies for a long time, and he just raves about him. So, I think Carolina is in good hands.”
Rodgers also shared some advice for the 22-year-old.
“Be gentle with yourself,” he said. “It’s a long journey. It feels like every little snap and practice is the end of the world if it doesn’t go right. It’s just not true. It’s a long journey. It’s about holding on to your confidence and enjoying the ride and doing the little things every day. But I think he’s got a good head on his shoulders, and he’ll be just fine.”
