The MLB trade deadline is nearly here, and the buzz is getting louder on who could be dealt by Tuesday, July 29 at 6 p.m. ET.
We've already seen some big names get sent elsewhere. Randy Arozarena went from the Tampa Bay Rays to the Seattle Mariners. Jazz Chisholm Jr. is now a Yankee. Third baseman Isaac Paredes went from the Rays to the Chicago Cubs.
But there are more deals to be had for contenders jockeying for playoff positioning. So let's break down some of the rumors and throw out some names you could see in transactions by Tuesday evening.
1. LHP Garrett Crochet, Chicago White Sox

The breakout star is young, but the White Sox are going nowhere and might be able to get some good stuff back for him before he signs a long-term deal.

Contenders need dependable bullpen arms, and here's the cream of the crop for this year.
3. RHP Jack Flaherty, Detroit Tigers

What a comeback for him. Surely a team would want him in a stretch run.

He's contending for a Cy Young! But that might be a great time to sell really high for the Tigers.

Another young talent for the White Sox who could fetch quite a trade price.
6. RHP Erick Fedde, Chicago White Sox

Dude's having quite a year, so he's perfect trade fodder for a contender.

He's struggled as of late, sure, but a change in scenery might be a big help.
