72 Players to Watch from the High Desert during the CIF-SS football playoffs
Seven high school football teams in the High Desert will vie for a shot at hoisting a CIF-Southern Section championship as the playoffs begin Friday night.
These teams sure wouldn’t be in the postseason without star players.
A look at the rosters of those seven teams shows there is no shortage of top-tier players who have made impacts over the 10-game season.
Oak Hills, which drew a spot in the Division 2 bracket, is by far the cream of the crop of the High Desert teams with a slew of players moving on to play NCAA Division 1 football.
Five of the other 11-man football squads are also full of playmakers, as is Hesperia Christian, the lone 8-man team that made the playoffs.
