The Atlanta Falcons lost one of their new wide receivers this week and may need to look outside the building for help.

Wide receiver Rondale Moore suffered a knee injury on Wednesday during joint practice with the Miami Dolphins, leading the Falcons to place him on the reserve/injured list a day layer.

While Moore wasn't settled as one of Atlanta's staters (those roles going to Drake London, Darnell Mooney and Ray-Ray McCloud for now), the former Arizona Cardinals player was expected to factor into Zac Robinson's new Atlanta offense this season and help out quarterback Kirk Cousins.

The Falcons have in-house options they could consider, but it's also possible the team could look at other players in free agency and on other teams to fill the void Moore was expected to man this fall.

Here are those five options, from guys that can be signed right now to a couple of names who would require a trade right now.

Hunter Renfrow

After posting a 1,000-yard season in 2021, Renfrow's production fell off the wagon in Las Vegas. If he's still got that ability in him, pairing him with Cousins could be a huge boost to his overall career and for the Falcons passing game. He also has some experience fielding punts if need be. Renfrow probably has the most upside of any player on this list because of his stellar 2021 season for the Raiders.

Jakeem Grant

Grant hasn't been able to play in the NFL for the past two years because of injuries, so that might scare a team like the Falcons off from signing him. However, he would fill the role Moore was supposed to have with Atlanta perfectly if he was healthy. A 2021 Pro Bowler and a second-team All-Pro talent in 2020 and 2021, Grant is an excellent return specialist and could fill a depth role in the passing game, too. At the very least, Grant could give the Falcons an excellent camp contender to try out in the preseason.

Richie James

While he missed some time last season with injury, James has proven production in his five seasons as an option in the passing game and as a punt returner. He also won a Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs this past February, giving him meaningful playoff experience. The Falcons adding James at this stage could be a really savvy move to address Moore's absence.

Jamal Agnew

If the Falcons really want to focus on what Moore could've provided in the return game, adding Agnew would be the best way to address that. Outside of being a capable reserve in the passing game, Agnew is one of the best return specialists in the NFL and one without a team right now. If he's recovered from his January leg injury, the Falcons might be his perfect landing spot.

Tutu Atwell

The Los Angeles Rams have a crowded wide receiver room, which could make Atwell a popular trade candidate for a team like the Falcons. New Atlanta head coach Raheem Morris, Robinson and other new Falcons staffers know Atwell pretty well from his two seasons in Los Angeles, and having him in the building could be a nice way to replace Moore's role on the roster. You could see the Falcons coming up with a trade package for him soon.
