The Texas Tech football team continues to add to its 2025 recruiting class.

Lloyd Jones III, a 6-foot-2 quarterback out of Hitchcock, announced his commitment to the Red Raiders Saturday via X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

247Sports has Jones rated a composite four-star recruit. He's listed as a three-star prospect by ESPN recruiting. Jones holds offers from Colorado State, North Texas and Texas State, among others.

Jones is the second 2025 recruit to commit to Texas Tech this week, joining Wichita Falls' Isaiah Anderson, who committed on Thursday.

In addition to football, Jones also helped the Hitchcock boys basketball team win the Class 3A state championship in March.
