There have been 37 QBs and coaches since Jay Fiedler, Dave Wannstedt led Dolphins playoff win

MIAMI GARDENS - No NFL team has gone longer than the Miami Dolphins without a playoff win.

That distinction had been held by the Detroit until Miami's former interim head coach, Dan Campbell, broke the Lions' drought in January of 2024.

"Congratulations to Detroit and Dan Campbell," Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said. "I’m happy for Dan. He was here and is a good guy and a good man. Him and Brad (Holmes) are doing a good job there, so I’m happy for them. But for us, we’re just going to keep grinding, chopping wood."

Dolphins owner Stephen Ross bought half the Dolphins in 2008 and 45 percent more in 2009.

Since then, Miami has zero playoff wins.

The Dolphins have lost their last five playoff games: in 2024, 2023, 2017, 2009 and 2002.

When was the Dolphins' last playoff win?

The last Miami playoff victory occurred on December 30, 2000.

The Dolphins defeated the Colts 23-17 in overtime at Pro Player Stadium.

In that game, Lamar Smith ran for 209 yards and two touchdowns as quarterback Jay Fielder, coach Dave Wannstedt and Miami defeated Peyton Manning and the Colts.

One week later, they lost 27-0 at the Oakland Raiders.

How many coaches, quarterbacks have Dolphins had since playoff win?

Since Jay Fiedler led Miami to their last playoff win, they've had 27 other quarterbacks play. And they've had 10 head or interim head coaches fail to win a playoff game.

Here they are:
