247Sports lists UNC football’s 2024 schedule as one of easiest
With the start of the 2024 college football season still over seven months away, the Atlantic Coast Conference released the schedules for the upcoming season. While we knew the opponents for the UNC football program, we now know the dates for each of the games.
And after viewing that, 247Sports believes North Carolina has one of the easiest schedules not only in the ACC but in all of college football.
The Tar Heels schedule was ranked as the fourth-easiest overall and second-easiest in the ACC. Here is what Brad Crawford said on UNC’s schedule in the article:
Mack Brown revamped his defensive staff with the hiring of Geoff Collins and good news for the Tar Heels is they’re not going to have to deal with too many explosive offenses next season. They should be able to get out of September ahead of the ACC slate without a loss if the opener at Minnesota goes in the right direction. North Carolina hosts JMU a few weeks later, but the Dukes lost much of their talent to the transfer portal and have a new coach.
Cincinnati has the easiest schedule on the list followed by Kansas and then NC State at No. 3.
While it’s an easy schedule it’s no guarantee that the Tar Heels take advantage of it. That’s especially true with the roster turnover the team will have from last season to next.
