The 2024 NFL Draft is rapidly approaching, during which all NFL teams will select their top player to add to their roster in the first round on Thursday, April 25. Jayden Daniels, the former LSU quarterback, will eagerly wait for his future team to call his name, most likely in the top five picks.

Daniels transferred from Arizona State to LSU before the start of the 2022 season. Daniels performed exceptionally well for the Tigers and in his senior year alone, he accumulated 3,812 yards and 40 touchdowns. His outstanding 2023 performance earned him the third Heisman Trophy in LSU's program history.

Here's where draft analysts predict that Daniels will be selected in this year's draft.

Jayden Daniels 2024 NFL draft predictions

Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz, USA TODAY: Washington Commanders, No. 2 overall pick

Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz writes: "It's a long way away from a consensus, but Daniels is hard to shake as the Commanders' potential target at No. 2. The Heisman Trophy winner's command from the pocket and ability to rip off big gains as a runner will be attractive features to whichever team drafts him. And while it would be a misnomer to call any quarterbacks "safe" picks, Daniels stands above the competition for this slot in his readiness to serve as an offensive engine from Day 1."

Bucky Brooks, NFL Network: Washington Commanders, No. 2 overall pick

Bucky Brooks writes: "New GM Adam Peters could opt for an experienced quarterback prospect to help resurrect the franchise. Daniels' steady growth as a five-year college starter (55 games) could make him a safer selection than other QB options at No. 2 overall."

Mel Kiper, ESPN: Washington Commanders, No. 2 overall pick

Mel Kiper writes: "Daniels has rare ability as a dual-threat playmaker. He can evade, elude and blow by defenders, but he also impressed with the way he can run through contact. But it's his improvement as a passer that has him looking like a Round 1 selection. Yes, having blue chip wideouts Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr. to throw to was a huge benefit, but they also were fortunate to have a passer like Daniels with a big-time skill set directing the offense."

Garrett Podell, CBS Sports: New England Patriots, No. 3 overall pick

Garrett Podell writes: "The 2023 Heisman Trophy winner enters the pros with 55 games of experience as a starter (29 at Arizona State, 26 at LSU), and he parlayed that experience into becoming the only player in FBS history with 12,000-plus career passing yards and 3,000-plus career rushing yards. He also became the only FBS player since the turn of the 21st century to average over 300 passing yards per game and 75 or more rushing yards per game in a season this past year. The Patriots signed quarterback Jacoby Brissett to be their bridge quarterback/mentor. Now, all they have to do is get their future QB1 to Foxborough."
