Here is the 2024 IndyCar series schedule, including a Milwaukee doubleheader, loss of Texas

A dozen years into its current car and on the brink of its first major engine development since 2012, IndyCar brass says its now starting to look towards the development of a new chassis and powertrain in tandem with each other.

The 2024 IndyCar season includes the return to an old venue (Milwaukee), a revamped street course weekend for the finale (Nashville) and the loss of Texas Motor Speedway across the 17-race calendar, highlighted, as always, by the May 26 Indianapolis 500.

In total, Penske Entertainment landed just nine regular season races on network TV (NBC), to go with six races on USA Network and two races that will air exclusively on the Peacock streaming service for premium-level subscribers. Additionally, new for 2024, IndyCar will hold an All-Star exhibition-style event at The Thermal Club on March 24 – the $1 Million Challenge – that will air on NBC, where the top-6 drivers from two heats will create a pool of 12 gunning for a $1 million prize to split with one of the Club members.

Portions of both Indy 500 qualifying days (May 18-19) will air on NBC as well.
