The Atlanta Falcons did what was necessary to secure top-end talent over the last few weeks. Despite having little cap space, the team added two Pro Bowl players to the roster and handed out a record extension to cornerback A.J. Terrell.
According to Over The Cap's updated salary cap numbers, the Falcons have over $7.6 million available with the NFL cut deadline on Tuesday. Atlanta has that extra space for a few reasons. Guard Chris Lindstrom restructured his deal and the team added two voided years to safety Justin Simmons ' contract, lowering his cap hit this season.
