Ummi Nazeera wants to play a villainess again

4 Nov - It's been a while since Ummi Nazeera played a villainess, which is why the actress is saying that she wants to do that kind of role in the future.

The 34-year-old actress, who has not been doing antagonistic character since she started wearing the hijab, admitted that she had had some reservations in the past as she didn't want such a character giving a negative impact to women in hijab.

"But the reality is, there are a lot of people who seem nice but have malice in their hearts. What they do in reality do not reflect the way they dress. There are a lot of people who misuse the religion for their own gain," she said.

However, at the same time, Ummi said she would only say yes to a negative character with substance and past trauma.

"I believe that all human beings are created pure, but their life journey made them the way they are," she added.

It is noted that the "Andai Tiada Dia" star is no stranger to playing villains in the past, having done so in dramas like "Suri Katriana", "Rindu Kasih", and "Nur Kasih".
