Cyndi Wang's camp addresses backlash over recent performance

5 Nov - Cyndi Wang's camp has recently clarified the recent backlash against the singer, after netizens expressed dissatisfaction over her recent performance at a music festival.

As reported on Sohu, the issue sparked recently, when the Taiwanese singer, who was advertised to be singing ten songs in an online promotion of the IHMAO YICHUN Moon City Music Carnival, only performed four songs - prompting festivalgoers to demand for refunds.

In response to the backlash, Cyndi's studio released a statement that read, "Cyndi performs the number of songs in the contract for each performance, and will ensure that the performance is strictly carried out in accordance with the contract. She will always do her best in every performance and strive to present the best state."

They also urged the organiser to explain the situation to the public.

Meanwhile, the organiser had since released a statement to clarify certain issues about the carnival. These include the situation with Cyndi, saying that the number of songs she sang live was indeed the number agreed upon in advance, and that the claims that she left early was untrue.

They also stated that the list of songs that were released online were not posted by the festival's social media accounts.
