Copper Beyond Buffet: All-you-can-eat premium à la carte buffet in Bangkok, the best I’ve ever had
“This is the best buffet I have ever had!” marvelled Seth. You wouldn’t be able to tell from his still-thin frame but he has had his fair share of buffets and many atas ones, too. We were at Bangkok’s Copper Beyond Buffet Gaysorn Amarin and our party agreed— the place is a buffet-lover’s dream.
Copper Beyond Buffet topped our list of the best buffets in Bangkok and left such an impression that we thought to do it justice with a standalone feature. Even before we had the pleasure of eating there, Copper Beyond Buffet was so popular that bookings only open twice a month.
One of the easiest ways to get your reservation is through the Hungry Hub website or their app. We recommend them because the reservations allow you to order packages and dishes that are not publicly released.
This buffet restaurant is conveniently located near Chit Lom BTS Skytrain station, Siam Centre and the R-walk Junction. It also has a sister restaurant, Copper Beyond Buffet @The Sense Pinklao. Both restaurants have the Grand Central Station-esque look with panelled walls and ceilings.
They also share a concept of the buffet redefined from its very basics, more accurately described as “unlimited à la carte dining”.
Don’t expect to see mountains of pre-prepared food exposed to the air and getting cold. Most main courses here are made on the spot when you order. Leave your request at a live station and it will be whipped up and brought straight to your table.
This gives dining at Copper Beyond Buffet the feel of an upscale à la carte restaurant. I also like that, despite its popularity, it’s not overly crowded; this makes it easier to get around the place. Those limited bi-monthly bookings may be frustrating but they are there for a reason.

Before I jump into the details of the dishes, I’ll make one strong recommendation to start your meal: the Truffle Soup and Croissant.
Sure, there is sushi, sashimi and Australian wagyu on the menu but this simple combo of crispy but ever-so-fluffy pastry and rich, aromatic, creamy soup blew us all away. It’s the ideal starter but beware, you’ll be severely tempted to take a second helping.
Singaporeans live their seafood and there is a very impressive Seafood station, brimming to the counter edges with fresh catch.
There were 2 standouts for me. The first was the exotically named Khao-Soi Lobster Truffle Espuma, which came with presentation to match. Retaining the original khao sai flavour, it introduces lobster and truffle, neither of which are traditional pairings. As it turns out, they work surprisingly well together.
The other standout was the Baked & Torch Canadian Lobster Tail with Trio Cheese Veloute. Like the Khao-Soi Lobster Truffle Espuma, it’s a dish that looks as fantastic as it tastes.
The aromatic flavours of Khao Soi are innovatively combined with luxurious lobster and truffle. A light and airy espuma foam infused with the earthy aroma of truffles only enhances the elevated flavours.
Also in the mix of our favourites, especially for the fun DIY element, is the Bafun Uni Set. The stone crockery is a nice touch and the tender uni worked so well with the popping roe.
Final thoughts
Copper Beyond Buffet really is a fresh, exciting change in the saturated world of buffet choices. Its personalised upscale concept, complete with the secret menus through Hungry Hub make it a must-try on your next Bangkok trip.
