Annie Yi defends son's fashion choices

14 Oct - Annie Yi has no qualms defending son Harrison Yu over his choice of wearing a midriff-revealing outfit to Paris Fashion Week recently.

The Taiwanese actress-singer, who spoke about her son's bold fashion choices recently, said that she told him that people thought he was bold because they had never seen it before.

"People who say you are bold are living in a world they know, and they are not familiar with things they have never seen," she said, adding that Harrison need not bear the subjective opinion of others.

Finally, she also expressed hope that her son could "fulfill himself and be brave enough to be himself."

Annie also admitted that it does take courage to be yourself completely, and that she has also been told to do something more meaningful in her 50s rather than care about her looks.

However, she believes that taking good care of oneself is the most important thing.

"What is more meaningful than blooming and caring for yourself? No matter what others think, I want to be beautiful all my life," she added.
