More Chocolate Bars Recalled Due to Salmonella Risk
If you have gourmet chocolate bars in your home, you'll want to check before you take another bite.

A recent FDA recall of Spring & Mulberry mint chocolate bars has been expanded to include more flavors of chocolate, as concerns about potential Salmonella contamination grow. The expanded recall includes the following flavors and lot numbers:
Earl Grey, lot number #025258
Lavender Rose, lot number #025259, #025260
Mango Chili, lot number #025283
Mint Leaf, lot number #025255
Mixed Berry, lot number #025275, #025281, #025337
Mulberry Fennel, lot number #025345
Pecan Date, lot number #025261, #025265, #025267, #025268, #025339, #025343
Pure Dark Minis, lot number #025273
The chocolate was sold online and through retailers since September 15, 2025. If you have the affected bars, do not eat them. You can send a photo of the lot code to Spring & Mulberry at recalls@springandmulberry.com for a refund or replacement, or for more information about the recall.

So far, no illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall, but Salmonella bacteria is a potentially dangerous source of food-borne illness, which can be fatal for children, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems. Symptoms of Salmonella infection can include fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain, according to the FDA. More serious infections can cause severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis, and arthritis.
