Why high school students need financial literacy education

"Earn Your Leisure" co-hosts Troy Millings and Rashad Bilal launched a financial literacy education program for high school students. In the latest episode of Financial Freestyle with Ross Mac, they share key takeaways from their curriculum.

The program includes units on wealth principles, the stock market, and investing. Millings says students, "went from not knowing what companies are to actually looking at what they're using and realize that these are actually publicly traded." Then, they dive into charts and technical analysis to better understand the market.

Students can apply these principles to the real world almost immediately. According to Millings, the program's goal is to "give them as much resources and... as much knowledge as possible so that they can execute and actually start seeing tangible results."
