US Department of Justice officials consider remedies to break up Google's (GOOG, GOOGL) search engine business after a federal ruling in August found it to be monopolistic.

After resuming negotiations on October 7, labor talks between Boeing (BA) and the striking International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) have since broken down. Boeing said "further negotiations do not make sense at this point" in a statement, while the IAM's negotiating committee has communicated it "remains ready to continue mediated or direct talks."

Federal Reserve officials, including Atlanta Fed President Raphael Bostic and Chicago Fed President Austan Goolsbee, are set to release their latest round of commentary alongside today's September meeting minutes, due out at 2 PM E.T.
