On Wednesday, AMC's continued surge pushed the stock to hit a record intraday high. The movie theater company's market cap now sits above $20 billion, topping that of fellow 'meme stock' GameStop.

JULIE HYMAN: Just wanted to mention a milestone of a sort. AMC, which is up 27% today, was at a record intraday high. At that point, its market value was $21 billion, which surpassed GameStop's value, which is at about $19 billion. I guess if you're judging your meme stocks as a competition, AMC is the lead on the market cap front in today's session.
