HEAD-TO-HEAD: Clinton economic adviser vs. Trump economic adviser

On Tuesday, November 8, Americans voters will head to the polls to elect the next President of the United States.

One of the big questions voters will ask: who will be better for the economy?

Yahoo Finance hosted a live panel discussion featuring senior economic advisers to Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. For 45 minutes, Yahoo Finance columnist Rick Newman grilled the guests on their candidates’ economic plans. Why is there so much emphasis on last-generation blue-collar jobs, and so little focus on the tech economy of the future? How will tearing up trade deals “bring home” American jobs? Why do we need even more regulations on banks and big business? How will the next president get economic proposals passed by Congress and break six years of gridlock?

Representing Hillary Clinton: Roger Altman, co-founder of investment bank Evercore Partners, former senior Treasury Dept. official.
Representing Donald Trump: Peter Navarro, professor of economics and public policy at University of California-Irvine.

Moderator: Rick Newman, Yahoo Finance columnist
