3 new Germantown businesses to check out in 2024: Local Lime, Salad Station and Monkee's

The new year will see more businesses coming to Germantown, including more spots for residents to have a meal and a women's boutique.

Here is a look at three spots that have recently opened or are set to open in early 2024.

Local Lime Tacos & Margaritas

Local Lime Tacos & Margaritas opened in late December at the Shops of Saddle Creek, 7605 W. Farmington Blvd., Suite 1. The restaurant is known for its fresh Mexican fare and craft margaritas. Cameron Ross, Germantown’s director of economic and community development, said the restaurant is owner Yellow Rocket Concepts' first location in Tennessee. The restaurant group is based in Little Rock.

Salad Station is expected to open in January at 9155 Poplar Ave., Suite 21, in Germantown at Village Shops, Ross said. Salad Station restaurants usually occupy about 2,000 square feet of space. The fast-casual Louisiana-based salad restaurant was started by founder and president Scott Henderson in 2012. The menu consists of a variety of greens, proteins, legumes, fruits, veggies, dairy, nuts, toppings and side dishes.

Monkee's of Germantown

According to its website, Monkee’s of Germantown is set to open in the spring at 1730 S. Germantown Road, Suite 112. Ross said the new Monkee’s will go into the former Cashmere & Roses location. The high-end fashion boutique franchise was started in 1995 in Wilmington, North Carolina. The business started franchising in 2010, and there are now more than 50 stores. The independently owned and operated stores offer a variety of apparel, accessories and shoes.
