The Securities and Exchange Commission had some things to say about a Berkshire Hathaway filing earlier this year. In an August letter to Berkshire CEO Warren Buffett, the Division of Corporation Finance commented on a table in the company's March proxy statement and asked three times to "please confirm that, in future filings," something would be done differently. In one example, the SEC division wrote it appeared the company had cited the net earnings or loss attributable to Berkshire shareholders.
