Oscars 2023: Yahoo Canada readers' picks for best and worst dressed celebrities
These are the stars that Yahoo readers crowned best and worst dressed.
The 95th Annual Academy Awards are over, bringing this year's epic awards season to a star-studded close.
Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert's "Everything Everywhere All At Once" came out as the most notable winner of the night, winning seven of the 11 awards it was nominated for — including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress (Michelle Yeoh), Best Supporting Actor (Ke Huy Quan) and Best Supporting Actress (Jamie Lee Curtis).
It was also a big night for Canadians in film, as Brendan Fraser took home the Best Actor award for "The Whale," and Sarah Polley won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for her film "Women Talking."
Now that the awards have all been given out and the after-parties attended, we asked Yahoo Canada readers to crown their best and worst-dressed of the night. We've tallied the votes, and here's who came out on top.
Best dressed: Malala Yousafzai
Dressed in a sequinned Ralph Lauren Collection gown, Pakistani activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai sparkled on the champagne carpet. Readers loved the 25-year-old's glamorous look, which racked up 32 per cent of votes.
Runner-up: Mindy Kaling
Coming in at a close second place, Mindy Kaling earned herself a nod as runner-up for best dressed of the night. Her custom Vera Wang gown with cutouts received 24 per cent of reader votes.
Worst dressed: Lesley Paterson
When it comes to the worst-dressed celeb at the 2023 Oscars, nearly half of Yahoo readers agreed that Lesley Paterson's colourful look deserved the title. The author and triathlete's asymmetric gown received 46 per cent of votes.
Runner-up: Florence Pugh
Red carpet darling Florence Pugh missed the mark at Sunday night's red carpet with a heavy Valentino gown that weighed down her petite frame. Pugh's look earned her the title of runner-up for the worst dressed star of the night, with 28 per cent of reader votes.
