If a Dutch oven is what you’re after, then you’re probably aware of just how many options are available to you. It can be overwhelming trying to narrow down the best one for you — especially when some are quite pricey (looking at you, Le Creuset). But there is a high-quality option that won’t even cost you $100 normally — and is less than $70 during Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days!

This unicorn of a kitchen product is the Lodge 6-Quart Enameled Cast-Iron Dutch Oven. If you were to buy it outside of Amazon’s huge sale event (which is currently on through tomorrow), it would cost you $80. But since it’s Prime Day right now, you can snag it for just $67 — which is seriously impressive given that this underrated Dutch oven can stand up to Le Creuset’s $420 model (and it can actually hold 0.5 quarts more!). Not to mention, it’s available in quite a few gorgeous colorways.

What is the Lodge 6-Quart Enameled Cast-Iron Dutch Oven?

This Lodge Dutch oven is made from cast iron with a porcelain enamel coating, which gives it a pretty, shiny finish that won’t drive you crazy to clean. This model in particular holds up to 6 quarts and is available in 20 shades (though they aren’t all on sale right now).

The beauty of a Dutch oven is that you can do so much with it, going from your stovetop to your oven — just as long as said oven isn’t heated to over 500° F. Our KT contributor tested this exact Lodge Dutch oven out for himself and praised its versatility, writing: “If I were stuck on a desert island with one piece of cookware for the rest of my life, it would be this $80 kitchen workhorse.”

Given that we’re now firmly in soup season, this is the literal perfect time to pick up a Dutch oven, so you can whip up your favorite soups, along with pot roast, curries, our braised beef stroganoff, and so much more.
