Unexpected foods that sugar is lurking in
With a new year comes new resolutions, and if you're one of the many looking to eat a bit more healthy, you're probably trying to watch your sugar.
It's pretty common knowledge that the first thing you need to ditch are candies and chocolates, but it turns out sugar is hiding in many of our everyday foods that might be derailing our diets.
According to the World Health Organization, we should really only be consuming a maximum of five teaspoons of sugar a day. To put that in perspective, one can of cola contains about 10 teaspoons of sugar and a specialty drink at Starbucks like a White Chocolate Mocha has over 15 teaspoons.
