It’s been more than a year since many offices in Canada shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and if you’re anything like me, it doesn’t appear that you’ll be heading back any time soon. That equates to hours and hours spent at my desk at home, and although I’ve made sure to make as many ergonomic adjustments as possible, I still found that my setup was lacking.
Replacing my sad old dining room chair with an actual office chair was the first item on my checklist, but with the height of my desk not perfectly aligned with my seat, I was finding my feet frequently falling asleep, leading to uncomfortable (and not to mention detrimental) seating positions.
