The two "clues" that have royal experts convinced Kate Middleton is having another baby soon

Kate Middleton gave birth to her youngest child, Prince Louis, in April 2018. But almost 18 months later, people are convinced another royal baby Cambridge announcement might be on the horizon.

According to one self-declared royal expert, Aranzazu Santos López, there are two big clues that suggest Prince William and Kate Middleton could soon be expanding their family. And they're to do with her hair, and her work schedule.

Speaking to Spanish TV show Aquí Hay Madroño, Santos López explained all: "I have two clues that make me think Kate is pregnant. We would love to see that confirmed.

"What are those clues? Look at these recent images of the return to school day. Look at Kate’s hair," noted the expert.

"Every time the Duchess of Cambridge changes her look, she announces that she is pregnant within a few days," Santos López pointed out. Referring to the Duchess' hairstyle on Princess Charlotte's first day at school, she added: "It has a different air. Highlights or new colour, we don't know yet, but it's lighter, like a dark blonde."

Kate Middleton's 'new hair before pregnancy announcement' pattern is something we've noticed before. It's been suggested that the Duchess makes a change to her hairstyle shortly before revealing she's expecting, in a bid to distract attention from her subtly changing body.

Back in July 2017, around 7 weeks before announcing her pregnancy with Prince Louis, the Duchess of Cambridge turned up to Wimbledon sporting a new, shorter hairstyle.

And, likewise, there was a change in hairstyle for Kate shortly before it was revealed she was expecting her first child, Prince George. This was the Duchess' hairstyle at the beginning of November 2012, around a month before the pregnancy announcement was made:

And here was Kate's 'do - looking pretty different - just a couple of weeks later, on November 27th 2012. This was just one week before she and Prince William shared their happy news publicly:

There's certainly a theme...

But that's not the only observation that makes Aranzazu Santos López believe Kate and William might be welcoming baby number four in the coming months.

"I have another clue. Kate's agenda is locked," said the royal expert. "She will take time off, which could mean she is pregnant, considering that her previous pregnancies have been complicated."

What Santos López is referring to is the fact that Kate Middleton has suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum - or severe, debilitating morning sickness - in previous pregnancies. It was so bad with Prince Louis that the Duchess had to skip Prince George's first day at school, and was forced to announce her pregnancy early as a result.

This, alongside the fact that Kate's diary of royal duties appears to be pretty clear at the moment, leads the expert to believe there might be a baby announcement on the cards.

But let's play devil's advocate here. Knowing that Kate does tend to suffer from hyperemesis gravidarum, if she were in the midst of intense morning sickness, would she have attended the Back to Nature Festival at RHS Garden Wisley on 10 September looking so healthy? And would she have been able to bring Princess Charlotte to school for her first day on 5 September? It seems unlikely.

Plus, Kate Middleton herself hinted that she and Prince William would be capping their family at three children. On a trip to Northern Ireland in March this year, Kate was chatting to crowds in Ballymena. When the Duchess was introduced to five-month old James Barr, Kate reportedly told the baby's dad, Alan, that she felt "broody" after meeting his son

"Baby number four?" Alan reportedly asked the mum-of-three, to which Kate responded: "I think William would be little worried."

Sounds like they're not planning on any more baby Cambridges, then. Only time will tell...
