Toronto Blue Jays star Kevin Kiermaier's wife Marisa announces pregnancy: 'Now, our family will be complete'
The couple, who already share two kids together, are expecting to welcome their third baby this December.
A Toronto Blue Jays star and his wife are officially expecting a new addition to their family.
On Friday, Marisa Kiermaier, the wife of centrefielder Kevin Kiermaier, took to Instagram with a beachside post announcing she's pregnant. Her post included a photo of herself posing during sunset by the shoreline at Indian Rocks Beach in her home state of Florida. She wore a white bikini, a cowboy hat and large sunglasses in the snapshot, as she held the bottom of her growing baby bump.
"And now, our family will be complete," Marisa penned in the caption to her post. "Coming December."
In the comments section of the post, fellow WAGs and fans expressed their excitement for the couple's news, with many offering their congratulations.
"Ahh, so, so, so happy for you guys!" wrote Sarah Wacha, the wife of Kansas City Royals pitcher Michael Wacha.
"I am so excited!" added Madison Lowe, the wife of Tampa Bay Rays player Brandon Lowe.
"Looking amazing, mama," Aunna Richards, the wife of Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Trevor Richards, chimed in.
"Congratulations! That's awesome! Happy for your family," a fan penned.
Marisa and Kevin got engaged in 2017, and the couple officially wed the following year at The Vinoy Resort and Golf Club in St. Petersburg, Fla. They currently share two sons together, Karter, whom they welcomed in November 2018, and Krew, who was born in March 2021.
The duo first met in 2015 during Kevin's first season with the Tampa Bay Rays in Marisa's hometown. In December 2022, Kevin signed a one-year contract — reportedly worth $9 million — with the Toronto Blue Jays for the following year, bringing the family north to Canada.
This past December, Kevin re-signed with the Blue Jays for another one-year contract reportedly worth $10.5 million. The news come after the team missed out on top MLB names, including Juan Soto and Shohei Ohtani, the latter of whom was greeted in Toronto in April with loud boos.
According to MLB Network personality Jon Morosi, Kevin opened up about returning to the team, saying "Toronto treated me like a king last year." In a Feb. 17 post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Morosi added Kevin shared his wife was "crying her eyes out" after they left the city last year.
"She didn't want to leave. My kids loved it," Kevin shared. "They talk about the CN Tower all the time. They can't wait to go back."
