Tia Carrere, 55, stuns in red sequinned dress at Grammys party: 'Beautiful as always'
Tia Carrere celebrated the 64th Annual Grammy Awards by returning to her rock 'n' roll roots.
On Sunday, the 55-year-old hit the red carpet for a Grammys 2022 viewing party at the Hollywood Palladium, hosted by Steven Tyler. The fourth annual event helped raise money for Janies Fund, a charity co-founded by the Aerosmith singer to help support young women and girls who have been impacted by abuse and neglect.
The star-studded event was attended by the likes of Ashlee Simpson, Caitlin Jenner, Melissa Joan Hart as well as Metallica's Robert Trujillo, Twisted Sister's Dee Snyder and ZZ Top singer Billy Gibbons.
Carrere celebrated the event on Instagram, sharing a photo of her herself on the red carpet dressed in a long-sleeve red sequinned gown with her trademark raven hair tresses in a sleek ponytail.
"Amazing seeing all these amazing people after all this time!" the model and actress wrote. "Proof that rock and roll must have anti-aging properties!"
Fans couldn't get enough of the "Relic Hunter" star's latest red carpet appearance and praised the Hawaiian beauty for her head-turning ensemble.
"Gorgeous and beautiful as always," one fan wrote.
"So divine, Tia!" another said.
"Your legs are amazing," a follower told the star.
It's hard to believe it's been almost thirty years since Carrere hit the big screen alongside Mike Myers and Dana Carvey in the 1992 hit comedy "Wayne's World."
Carrere, who recently starred in Ru Paul's Netflix series "AJ and The Queen," said the type of roles she's offered have changed drastically since her breakout role as rock goddess Cassandra.
"I was the hot, sex symbol ingenue and then you go through this period where you're not quite old enough to be the mom — which is kind of funny because it dovetailed with me being a mom, being a Girl Scout troop leader, PTA member, fundraiser and going on camping trips," she said in a 2020 interview with Too Fab.
Still, the actress believes Hollywood has come a long way since the early '90s.
"I know when I came into the business there was no one that looked like me, that's for sure," she explained. "And then I was on 'General Hospital,' we were the Asian storyline, in the Asian corridor and I never had an interracial relationship on daytime television, so we've come a long way baby!"
