Tessa Virtue shares photos of her 'purrfect' Halloween costume: 'This is so cute'
Tessa Virtue is celebrating Halloween in style.
Over the last two days, the Canadian ice dancer took to Instagram to share a series of photos of her Halloween costume with her 429,000 followers.
In one of her posts, the 33-year-old snapped a selfie of her makeup, which was part of her lion costume.
The feline glam featured long lashes, whiskers, and a black painted nose to match that of a lion's.
"Happy Halloween you crazy cats," she penned in the caption alongside a cat emoji.
In another post, the Olympic gold-medallist gave fans a full-body look at her costume in a hilarious video sponsored by Buick.
In the clip, Virtue showed off her furry getup complete with a tail and paws.
She was filmed driving around, throwing leaves, doing cartwheels and buying groceries.
"Can’t be tamed in my Buick," she wrote in the caption followed by a smirking emoji.
In the comments of both posts, fans went wild over Virtue's "purrfect" costume.
"This is purrfect Tessa, Happy Halloween!" commented a follower.
"The oversized paws, I can't!" shared someone else alongside the laughing emoji.
"This is so cute," penned a fan. "You're literally the cutest person ever."
"Love this, so awesome and adorable! Love to see the cartwheels making a comeback," added another with three clapping emojis.
On her Instagram story, the figure skater shared another photo of her costume — this time from the great outdoors.
In the snap, she posed outside surrounded by trees, grass and leaves. The athlete stared at the camera while artfully placing her paws and lifting one of her legs toward the sky.
A furry headband complete with triangular ears graced the top of her head, and she brought a slight smile to her face.
However, Virtue isn't the only Canadian athlete who dressed up for Halloween.
Yesterday, hockey star Carey Price and his family revealed their group Star Wars costumes on Instagram, which was met with approval from fans across the country.
In the post, Price's wife, Angela, shared a series of photos of their "amazing" looks.
Their middle child, Millie, was dressed as Princess Leia complete with a white dress and the character's signature double buns.
Lincoln, their youngest, looked adorable in a fuzzy Chewbacca costume, while Liv, their eldest, looked spot-on in a Luke Skywalker getup.
The Montréal Canadiens goalie donned an all-black Darth Vader costume complete with a red light saber. Angela rocked a full-body Stormtrooper ensemble.
