Shay Mitchell debuts 'chic' new hair at Milan Fashion Week: 'Makes me want to go red'
Shay Mitchell is seeing red.
The 35-year-old actress took to Instagram on Wednesday to show off her first look at Milan Fashion Week with several photos and videos of herself at Fendi's Spring/Summer 2023 show. The "Pretty Little Liars" alum debuted newly dyed locks, which were tinted a rich shade of auburn by celebrity hairstylist Jesus Guerrero and put into a wavy up-do by Ricky Mota.
For the event, Mitchell stood out in a bright yellow and black mock neck jumper and a matching glittery knee-length skirt. She paired the outfit with classic black heels, black sunglasses, silver hoop earrings and a small yellow Fendi handbag.
Los Angeles-based makeup artist Ivan Núñez, who's worked with celebrities like Paris Hilton, Ryan Destiny and Doja Cat, gave Mitchell a sweet, simple makeup look with pink blush, light eyeshadow and a light pink lip.
Fans were quick to jump into the "You" and "Dollface" star's comments section, with many people showing their support for her new look.
"I don't know if I'm more shocked about your fantastic hair or about the fact you're here in Milan!!" one person wrote.
"Yass, queen. You look beautiful. Love the red; amazing hair," added another.
"Iconic. Makes me want to go red," one fan chimed in.
"Shay Mitchell? More like Slay Mitchell," another quipped.

Mitchell first shared her new hair colour and a sneak peek of her outfit on her Instagram Stories, with a video of herself posing for the camera while Childish Gambino's "Redbone" played in the background. The Mississauga, Ont.-native star also added another video where she's sitting in the backseat of a car with publicist Cait Bailey, revealing her luggage was lost after her flight to Milan.
The "Possession of Hannah Grace" actress later posted clips of herself going through the hair dye process, including another video of herself showing off what it looked like freshly dyed.
"[Jesus Guerrero], talented at so many things, and now that I know he can do colour like this!!" Mitchell wrote as on-screen text for one of her Instagram Stories.
According to another post Mitchell made earlier on Wednesday, she let her more than 34 million Instagram followers vote on whether she went auburn red or platinum blonde. A screenshot of the story she posted showed that 69 per cent of people voted she went red.
"Thank you to the one and only [Jesus Guerrero] for going along with my extremely last minute desire to dye my hair after a full days shoot," Mitchell wrote in the caption to that post.
Fans were also supportive of Mitchell's big change, sharing comments of love for her new hair colour and stunning beauty.
"OMG red suits you so so well, babes. I absolutely love it!!" one fan raved.
"You are stunning with every hair colour!" another penned.
"Shay, you look beautiful in every way!" someone else shared.
