See $15M super sports car collection in top-notch garage of Sacramento-area estate for sale

Inside the temperature-controlled garage at a Sacramento area home for sale sits an expensive collection of exotic sports cars engineered by the greatest automotive brands in the world: McLaren, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti, Koenigsegg, Pigani.

Jeff Miller, who co-founded the software company ProKarma, estimates his luxury super-car collection is worth more than $15 million.

And the cars are not just for show.

“I drive them, and I’m out to show people that it’s okay to bring them out and drive them, and it’s better for the car,” Miller said in a phone interview while he was out cruising in his McClaren P1. “Cars should not sit. They should be used.”

The vehicles are housed at his stunning 7,800-square-foot estate that just hit the market for nearly $6 million, making it the most-expensive residential listing in Granite Bay, California.

Granite Bay is a residential suburb 24 miles northeast of Sacramento and just west of Folsom Lake.

“I have been involved with cars more than 20 years, first with classic muscle and Porsches,” he said in an email. “In the last six years (I) really dove into exotic super cars with McLaren, Ferrari and Lamborghini (and in) the last three years, hypercars such as the McLaren P1, Bugatti, Rimac, Pagani, and Koenigsegg. I like to focus on limited production vehicles from a retained value perspective.”

Favorite hypercar

His favorite used to be the first hypercar he purchased, the McLaren P1 — until recently when he took delivery of a Koenigsegg Jesko Attack. Prices for the Swedish-made automobile start at $3 million.

“I worked hard to get everything to where it is, but I’ve had many different cars in the last five or six years and I am just slowly trying to improve and make it better and better,” Miller said.

The two garages at the end of the Granite Bay home’s circular driveway can accommodate more than 10 vehicles. The space is equipped with Swisstrax flooring, where perforations in the tiles allow debris, water, soap and other liquids to flow through the floor leaving the surface clean and dry.

Swisstrax flooring not only makes cleaning up oil and other leaks easier, but is also gentler on human joints. And the color scheme of the product can be changed to match walls and cabinets.

“I have about 10 cars in my garage,” Miller said. “The price of my Bugatti, I could buy 10 super cars with that, but I prefer to have fewer, much more valuable, limited-production cars. That’s what I’ve learned is the best way to collect, but I don’t keep anything that I don’t drive. I drive everything I own.”

Stunning Santa Barbara style

The four-bedroom, seven-bathroom Santa Barbara-style residence, with white stucco walls and red-tile roof, sits on 2.3 acres. Miller’s sprawling home is almost as stunning as his multi-million-dollar car collection.

Gerry Hawks of Hawks Construction built four of his previous houses, including the current home, Miller said.

“Everything’s very, very high quality, right down to every plant that’s in the yard,” Miller said. “I’m just super particular that everything’s done really well. And if you’re looking for a bargain basement home, this is not it. I paid for the quality.”

Inside the home, a gourmet chef’s kitchen under a high ceiling is designed with two massive islands, a glass refrigerated wine cellar, top-of-the-line appliances and a secondary kitchen.

Miller said the house is designed with a value on entertaining because he hosts a lot of gatherings.

The expansive, well-lit family room overlooks a resort-style backyard with an expansive covered patio outfitted with motorized phantom screens that can enclose the entire space.

The grounds are further enhanced by an outdoor kitchen, built-in fireplace, rectangle pool and spa, waterfall, fire pits, dog run, vegetable garden, outdoor shower, bocce ball court and horseshoe pit.

The indoor amenities are revved up. There are four ensuite bedrooms, a gym, an office, a meeting room, a recreation room with a bar and a comfortable place to play poker between the two immaculate garages.

The home is self-sufficient in many ways, Miller said.

“The solar panels pay for the electricity,” he said. “All of my landscapes are watered by a well. The plants grow better with well water, and it’s less expensive and doesn’t put any kind of a drain on the city. I never wanted the city to be able to tell me you can’t water because of watering restrictions.”

Miller is not moving far because he said likes the Granite Bay community.

“I’m not going far,” he said. “The neighborhood’s amazing. It’s very quiet, peaceful.”

However, he may downsize a bit.

“I’m very proud of the house. It’s just it’s a very large home for one guy to live in.”

Mimi Nassif, founder and CEO of Mimi Nassif Luxury Estates, holds the Granite Bay listing.

Nassif sold the highest priced home in the Sacramento region in 2023 — a Loomis property at 7340 Terracina Lane — for $6.275 million.

Nassif said none of the cars in Miller’s collection are being sold with the house.

Miller said there might be an advantage to owning a super collection of cars and putting a high-priced home on the market at the same time.

“It makes the house look inexpensive after all that, right?” he said.
