Scarlett Johansson may have worn the most controversial dress at the Met Gala
While many celebrities turned heads at last night’s Met Gala in their Catholic-themed dresses, one of the most understated looks of the night might have also been the most controversial.
Scarlett Johansson strutted the red carpet with boyfriend Colin Jost, rocking a two-tone tulle burgundy ombre gown — a design by Marchesa, the brand co-owned by Harvey Weinstein’s ex wife, Georgina Chapman.

It’s a major statement, and the first time an A-lister has worn Marchesa at a major red carpet event since allegations of Harvey Weinstein’s sexual misconduct surfaced last year. Marchesa became embroiled in the scandal after Hollywood stars said Weinstein tried to pressure them into
wearing the brand at red carpet events.

Johansson, who starred in the Weinstein-produced flick ”Vicky Cristina Barcelona,” has been publicly supportive of the MeToo and Time’s Up movements.
