Sarah Nicole Landry is helping you to love your body — one post at a time.
On Monday, the Canadian influencer — better known as The Birds Papaya — took to Instagram to share a body positive video about her stretch marks with her 2.2 million followers.
The content creator is known for her inclusive content that centres on body image, relationships and motherhood.
In the post, the Guelph, Ont.-native filmed herself in the bathroom getting dressed. She stared at the camera, fixed her hair and pulled a pair of black leggings over her stomach after showing fans her beloved tiger stripes.
"The other day someone said I show my stretch marks too much. I thought about it. Probably too much. Am I too much?" the mother-of-four asked in her caption. "I landed softly in the realization that this comment would never be made to someone showing their smooth stomach. To a gym bro showcasing his abs. Or a woman baring her pregnant belly growing."
The self-love advocate went on to explain that she purposely puts her stomach on display to help normalize it.
"I’ll admit, my saturation of it is intentional. I want this to look and feel so normal that it's never a surprise," she said. "I want stretch marks on billboards and bikini campaigns like they're a natural part of existence. Because for me, and many others, they are."
The influencer ended her post with a motivational message.
"And let's be honest, they're my signature look. So go ahead and be 'too much' for some. It's worth it to be enough for you."
In the comments, fans praised Landry for her constant "sunshine" and vulnerability.
"You are sunshine, girl! Seeing you and your stretch marks makes me happy and reminds me that I'm normal," commented a follower.
"You tell 'em, girl! You're gorgeous and an inspiration to all mamas," shared someone else.
"I love how you've written this caption, too! It's so punchy and relatable," added another.
"Say it louder for the people in the back! This message is so important," penned a fan.
This isn't the first time Landry has showed off her stretch marks.
Last week, she took to Instagram with a mirror selfie that drew attention to the lines on her stomach.
In the caption, she revealed that she was upset when she found her first stretch mark.
"I sobbed at my first stretch mark. I bought the creams, I did everything I was 'supposed' to. I hid them and had them blurred from maternity photos. I cursed the genetics that gave them to me," she wrote.
Eventually, Landry learned to love the skin she's in.
"I feel nothing except gratitude for stretch marks. They did everything they were supposed to. I show them and showcase them in photos. I think about the amazing reality that I share marks just like the women of my family before me," she explained. "This weakness I felt cursed me was actually my body showing me its power. Not weakness of the skin, but the power of the body to stretch without breaking. I'll never get over that. I'll never not be grateful for that. That's what's next."
