Roxy Earle opens up about how she 'outgrew' body insecurity: 'You're the realest'
Roxy Earle is embracing her authentic self.
On Wednesday, "The Real Housewives Of Toronto" star took to Instagram to share a sun-soaked video of herself on vacation.
In the clip, Earle wore oversized sunglasses and a grey snakeskin swimsuit from her own size-inclusive collection, #MySizeRox, in partnership with Canadian retailer Joe Fresh.
"POV: After years of insecurities watching smaller women wear chic swimsuits that would never fit, you now feel amazing wearing swimsuits with your name on the label on your bodacious body," she wrote as on-screen text.
In the caption, the reality star explained that she became confident when she stopped trying to fit in with non-inclusive brands and people.
"The most amazing thing happened when I stopped desperately seeking the acceptance from people and industries that didn’t want me," she penned to her 101,000 followers. "I outgrew them!"
Fans loved Earle's post and praised her for creating a "realistic" message.
"Thank you for starting a brand that's actually realistic about sizing! So many companies just assume that all women are probably a size small or medium — even their large and extra-large sizes are made small," an Instagram user commented. "I love this so much! You're the realest."
"Thank you for being your authentic self, sharing your life with us and all that you do to empower women!" another wrote.
Someone else pointed out: "You wear it all so well and so confidently. It truly empowers others!"
"Yes! If you can’t join 'em, beat 'em!" added another.
"Love your confidence," a fan chimed in.
In July, Earle discussed the lack of representation in women's fashion alongside a photo of her in a maxi dress.
"I’ve always loved fashion but it’s never loved me back," she wrote. "I curate my world to follow inclusive brands and diverse influencers and seek out the high-end pieces that will fit me."
"What I’m realizing is that instead of trying to change the game that doesn’t want me on the team, I’m going to make up my own game. One that is built from the communities of fashionistas and influencers that have been left out of the ivory tower of fashion," Earle added.
