I'm creating my capsule wardrobe — 3 summer pieces I'm keeping for fall
I wore a lot of Reformation this summer. Here's how I'm styling my favourite pieces for fall.
Undoubtedly, one of the brands I wear the most is Reformation. The cool-girl label has laid claim to my fall wish list, with its cashmere sweaters and Canada Goose collab taking first and second place. That said, we still have a month or more left of summer-ish weather, so it's not time to pack away your warm-weather wardrobe just yet.
To squeeze more life out of my summer attire, I took three of my most-worn Reformation pieces and styled them for fall. From a breezy linen mini dress to tailored shorts, here's how I'm styling three summer-to-fall transitional pieces.
What I Wore: Reformation Jessi Linen Dress
While I live in a glorified studio apartment with no husband and no children, I feel like the rich Hampton mom I was always destined to become in this linen mini dress. The 100 per cent linen dress is available in four colours: white, pale green, navy, and a cute '60s-inspired print.
$188 CAD/$128 USD at Reformation
How I'm styling it — summer
My shoes: Birkenstock Arizona Big Buckle Sandals
When I tell you I have worn these Big Buckle Birkenstock sandals almost every single day this summer, I am not exaggerating in the least (trust me, I have the tan lines to prove it).
My bag: Cult Gaia Gaia's Ark Bamboo Bag
I have a Black Friday sale to thank for my Cult Gaia bag; however, if you're willing to pay full price, you can buy the bamboo bag from Farfetch or find my black version on The Real Real.
My sunglasses: Le Specs Air Heart 51mm Cat Eye Sunglasses
I bought Meghan Markle's "chic yet dramatic" sunglasses before Nordstrom Canada went under (RIP) and for what it's worth, they are both royal and editor-approved.
$81 CAD/$60 USD at Net-A-Porter
My sunglasses chain: Komono Small Pearl Glasses Chain
Admittedly, this isn't my actual sunglasses chain (I bought mine at a boutique in Paris — fancy, I know), however, it's very similar and very cute!

Shoes: Monochrome Western Boots
I am very much here for this fall's cowboy boot trend. Another pair I love? These colourful Jeffrey Campbell Dagget Western Boots from Free People (specifically the pink, if you're in a giving mood).
Bag: Melie Bianco Brigitte Large Satchel
This jumbo shoulder bag is crafted from faux leather and would play well with the white linen mini (and the rest of your fall wardrobe).
Jacket: Mango Denim jacket with Belt
I think this belted denim jacket from Mango fits the western-themed bill perfectly.
What I Wore: Reformation Tagliatelle Linen Dress
Reformation's Tagliatelle Linen Dress made headlines this summer as one of Jennifer Lopez's go-to's, and having worn the linen midi several times over the past month, I understand the hype. Every time I wear this figure-flattering midi, I receive at least one compliment from a stranger — it's that good.
My shoes: Birkenstock Arizona Big Buckle Sandals (again)
My bag: One of the 1,000 random tote bags stuffed in my closet.

How I'll style it — fall
Layer: Jewel-Button Piped Cardigan
This feminine jewel-button cardigan comes in two colours: Black and beige.
Shoes: Aldo Anjela Ballet Flats
These classically chic ballet flats are an always-in-style shoe you (and I) will wear for years to come.
Bag: Anthropologie Embellished Beaded Knot Shoulder Bag
Is it a bag? Is it art? Both answers apply. This sweet little beaded bag is sure to become your go-to party accessory.
What I Wore: Reformation Mason Linen Short
The rich and famous and Reformation go together like a Hollywood starlet and a British prince. Joining Jennifer Lopez and Sarah Jessica Parker in their love of the brand is Meghan Markle, the richest (maybe) and most famous (definitely) of them all. Duchess Meghan was spotted wearing Reformation's Mason Linen Shorts earlier this summer and being the royal stan that I am, I had to pick up a pair for myself too.
My shoes: Birkenstock Arizona Big Buckle Sandals (I own other shoes, I swear)

My bodysuit: Dynamite V-Neck Seamless Bodysuit
My actual black bodysuit is sold out, but this in-stock alternative is a great dupe (and really affordable).
My bag: Everlane The Cactus Leather Hobo
My black version of Everlane's plant-based bag is sold out, but you can still take it home in dark honey (pictured) or cashew.
How I'll style it — fall
Layer: H&M Rib-Knit Sweater
This cute cotton-blend sweater is "so comfy" and "perfect" for chilly days, according to H&M shoppers.
Bag: Coach Outlet Millie Shoulder Bag
Not only is this Coach bag incredibly chic, but it's 70 per cent off right now (winner, winner, chicken dinner!).
Shoe: Aldo Tanerdy Boots
A wardrobe staple for fall weather, these knee-high boots feature pillowy soles for all-day comfort.
