It doesn't take long to find oneself figuratively knee-deep in the world of online beauty influencers. Between the hoard of six-pack mommy bloggers and the “Link In Bio” skincare enthusiasts, it's understandable that every time you see a “holy grail” product advertised on Instagram, you view it with a grain of salt.
However, whether by coincidence or a steep influencer marketing budget, there are a handful of products whose popularity seem to know no end. A prime example: the NuFACE Facial Toning Device, which, as luck would have it — is 30 per cent off right now at the SkinStore.
NuFACE Mini Facial Toning Device
SHOP IT: SkinStore, $209 CAD (originally $299)
Similar in size to your everyday epilator, the NuFACE Trinity and NuFace Mini (the Trinity's little sister) are handheld facial toning devices designed to contour, tone, and improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
For as little as five minutes a day, the anti-ageing tool promises a microcurrent-led "facial workout" that will lift and tighten your jawline, cheekbones, and other visibly ageing areas of your face.

"The results are phenomenal, even my husband has commented on how great my skin looks!" wites one shopper. "This little baby, truly helps tighten, firm and lift the skin. It's a mini face-lift all in a hand-held device."
NuFACE Trinity Facial Toning Device
SHOP IT: SkinStore, $339 CAD (originally $485)
Compared to the NuFACE Mini, the pricier Trinity comes with a wrinkle-reducer attachment to specifically target the lip and eye areas. Both sizes require a gel primer, though many users say pure aloe vera gel is an effective and affordable alternative to the NuFACE branded gel primer.
"This device really tightens your skin! I'm 62, but look like I'm in my 40s," says a reviewer on SkinStore. "Saved me lots since I don't need plastic surgery. This device is amazing!"
The key to NuFACE success is consistency. Every review we read noted that, like any workout regime, you'll only notice a difference if you make it part of your daily routine.
"The initial period requires a lot of consistency - I think I used mine six times a week, but [once] my face was used to the device, I dropped back to twice a week," explains a shopper. "For me, the results are noticeable and can be seen as soon as I'm finished each treatment."
SHOP IT: SkinStore, $209 (originally $299)
As the NuFACE Trinity and Mini are anti-aging devices, users with visibly aging skin will see the most significant improvements. For skincare aficionados under the age of 30, don't expect to see a massive difference using either NuFACE microcurrent device; a healthy dose of sunscreen is still your best weapon against premature wrinkles.

"Such a confidence booster!" Writes one user. "I saw the improvement immediately. I did not know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. The product improved my dark eye circles 95 per cent and gave my cheeks a great fullness that gave me a more youthful face. I am now comfortable going make up free. I love the device! I recommend it to anyone."
In Canada, you can find the NuFACE Trinity and NuFACE Mini online from Amazon, The Bay and SkinStore. And while each version hovers between $200 and $500 depending on the place of purchase, according to the myriad of beauty bloggers and online reviewers, the NuFACE could be the non-invasive anti-ageing tool that will become your own "holy grail" product.
